The Sideswipe Community Is Weirdly Wholesome

This might just be my experience. But it's been mine for two years now.

I've played main-game Rocket League for six years. The Sideswipe community feels different in a way I've struggled to describe.

Part of it is size — it's smaller, so you actually see the same names in ranked, and people are less anonymous. Part of it is that you can't quick chat spam nearly as much on mobile because of screen space. Part of it might just be that most people are on a phone in bed and don't want to type a paragraph of insults with their thumbs.

Whatever it is, my last ten games had zero rage quits and two people who quick-chatted 'nice save' at me. Try telling me that happens in main-game.

Anyway, if you're new — welcome. It's a good scene. Don't be the person who ruins it.
